Justin, thank you for not giving up. You are a fighter and true American. This all makes my blood boil. The corruption is disgusting. It’s a big club and we ain’t in it! I’m a senior white woman in the Midwest and fighting the injustices from the North. The racism in our country is crippling democracy. 💙🗽☮️
Thank you, Katie and Justin for your timely conversation - so glad I heard it. So many of my questions answered. I appreciate so much the skill and commitment you both have to each of your professions.
CALL FOR GENERAL STRIKE IN MEMPHIS AND NASHVILLE. SHUTDOWN THE STATE ECONOMY. OTHER STATES AND CITIES TO PROVIDE ONGOING FOOD AND EMERGENCY RELIEF AND FUNDING.
The biggest mistake was ignoring the “take no prisoners” part of war and letting the losers live after the Civil War. Those evil, racist, violent people have warped genes. They should have been eliminated.
What we are seeing now has been simmering for a few decades and is now being brought to light. We must resist and reform to what has worked before and to what will be needed in the future to prevent such a bad government as we now have in DC.
Today would be a good day to call the Repugnant reps who are retiring and ask them to step down now tomorrow, Monday, May 11, 2026… to save their souls (what is left of their souls) and to save our country.
Thank you, Katie and Rep. Pearson, for this important - and, frankly, chilling - discussion. I lived during the time of the Civil Rights movement. I lived in a peaceful town in Kansas, but the news and pictures fill my memory. My dad, a Presbyterian minister, made enemies in our church, because he was instrumental in the integration of the local YMCA, in the late 50s. I was a little girl, so proud of my dad, and so bewildered by the hate. Thanks to the current republicans - on both the state and federal levels - the hatred and ignorance of those days, and thanks to SCOTUS - we are back there.
Rep. Pearson, good luck to you, and the people of Tennessee. Thank you again.

Don’t hold your breath. They are allowing it and the supreme courts is permitting it because they are spineless
Justin, you are so courageous, so sensible, thank you for your service.
Justin, your speech about about this racism by the courts was great. ‘We will still be here’! 🫶🏼

“No one can sit this one out” - Per Mr. Justin J. Pearson. Let’s go!!!
It’s devastating!
Keep speaking out!
It could effect all of us!
Justin is an outstanding speaker and a courageous young man. His speech from the TN chamber last night brought me to tears.
Make a plan to vote. How you can leave work? Who can drive you? Ask for support!!

I would love it to be true, racism doesn’t exist anymore. We are not there. With Trump and this administration they have more than proven that.
What we are seeing now has been simmering for a few decades and is now being brought to light. We must resist and reform to what has worked before and to what will be needed in the future to prevent such a bad government as we now have in DC.
Thank you. This SO important. I follow it from TX.
