It happened to me while working out, and I thought I had had a stroke. My husband drove me to the ER, while I repetitively asked him the same question during the drive. It was during Covid, and when we reached the hospital my husband said I needed to put my mask on. I said, "Why do I have to put on a mask?" When he answered because of Covid, I asked "What's Covid?" I don't remember any of my time in the ER, including all the testing which all came back normal. It's interesting that Dr. Faust mentioned physical exertion as a trigger, which was definitely mine. When I work out now, I drink electrolytes as well of lots of water, and try to slow down between sets. I'm not sure if any of these are actually preventative, but I guess it makes me feel better.
Science is a patient process that eventually converges on stable answers to well-crafted questions based on well collected and analyzed data. The story isn't that there are dissents initially but that all dissents are eventually resolved.
Sherlock Holmes per Conan Doyle approached every investigation via Motive, Opportunity, and Method in that order because that is the most efficient way to investigate a mystery, especially where human behavior is involved.
Science only cares about fact and establishing facts, not political power. Political power hates open disagreement with political statements. When political power aligns with science policy works. Otherwise, it does not. Those who attack and destroy science undermine their own positions.
It was a great conversation. I’m so happy you’re okay.
Katie you are amazing! Keep up your incredible commitment to Honest News✌️♥️🙏
